The adjustment system of the KED Crom helmet provides excellent comfort and optimum fit. KED has developed an intelligent 3 point adjustment system for individually setting the fit, which convinces users with its simple use. Besides the adjustments of the head ring height and the head width the head circumference can even be readjusted with the QuickSafe wheel while cycling. The system offers simple to use and highly functional solutions for easy strap adjustment. The patented QuickStopp-System allows the initial length adjustment of the strap. It symmetrically blocks the strap in the center of the helmet. The lateral strap adjustment clip offers the correct positioning of the strap system below the ears. The overlaying strap is properly fixed by the strap clip. The padded ratchet closure provides additional micro adjustment of the strap.
KED proves its innovative spirit with superior technology for visibility in traffic. In contrast to standard reflecting stickers, KED consequentially relies on active visibility with integrated flashing safety lights. The QuickSafe flashing lights can be seen without depending on an external light source. They can be identified by car drivers before they have been picked up by the headlight beam. The innovative visor with integrated sun glasses protects the eyes against UV rays, twigs and wind without restricting the field of vision.
The appearance of KED helmets is distinctive due to a special design feature: MaxShell technology. In this manufacturing process, almost the whole EPS inner shell is covered by the outer micro-shell, even down into the ventilation openings. That has numerous advantages because the life-saving EPS inner shell, which absorbs impact forces in the case of a fall, is protected against damaging UV rays. Furthermore areas subjected to specific mechanical loads, such as the underside of the helmet, are covered with micro-shell. Due to a composite construction of the micro-shell and the EPS inner shell, the whole structure of the helmet is effectively reinforced.
