Description
The Dissector 3C MaxxTerra 27.5″ folding tyre by Maxxis – the Troy Brosnan signature tyre!
The Maxxis Dissector 3C MaxxTerra folding tyre is a tyre that rolls madly fast, cuts precisely through curves and decelerates well when needed. The tread was based on the Rekon, Minion DHF and High Roller II.
The DH version of the Dissector is ideally suited as a rear tyre, whether for racing or in the bike park. The Trail version also makes sense on the front wheel if you want an easy rolling front tyre with good grip.
Note from the manufacturer:
Refrain from using ammonium based tyre sealant. After a few months, the ammonium weakens the tyre’s carcass by 30 %.
Maxxis recommends you use Tire Plasma.

3C MaxxTerra
The Freeride version of Maxxis 3C mixtures. More grip and traction than the 3C MaxxSpeed compound, with less rolling resistance and longer durability than 3C MaxxGrip. The ideal Enduro and Freeride mixture because it combines good rolling resistance uphill with great grip downhill.
With Maxxis, the 3C tread is formed from three different rubber compounds in one piece and is not subsequently joined together from two strips. This allows the tread to be shaped exactly to the requirements of the respective tyre model and the riding characteristics to be optimised.
EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, light and very flexible. Thus the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of a flat also decreases. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with tyre sealant than other tubeless ready tyres. Like a real UST tubeless tyre, the bead of the Maxxis TR tyre is completely covered with a rubber layer. This means that tubeless installation all rims with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
Wide Trail (WT):
This design optimises the tread pattern and tyre shape on today’s wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and are too angular on wider rims for optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but function excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 – 39 mm. This concerns tyres with a width upwards of 2.4″ .
